[QUOTE="LordVyreth, post: 2755691, member: 9626"] Okay, give this a try. Keep in mind I haven't had the chance to use this in my game yet, so you might want to look over it before using it. I think that's all I got for now. Let me know what you have planned beyond this point. Incomplete Template Incompletes are monsters that somehow lose the connection to their own abstract state. That is, they mostly remain the same, but the “idea” of the monster no longer overlaps perfectly with the actual physical form. By appearance, an Incomplete monster looks a little like a poorly-colored version of the creature. Parts of the creature are completely transparent, and the creature’s skin seems to leak continuously out of other holes in its form. “Incomplete” is a template that can be added to any creature. Humanoids, monstrous humanoids, animals, vermin, and magical beasts become aberrations, but other types remain the same. Hit Dice: Same as the base creature. Speed: Same as the base creature. AC: Same as the base creature. Attacks: If the creature has no natural attacks, it gains a slam attack that does damage as indicated on the table below. Most humanoids gain this in their hand and can use it as an off-hand natural attack in addition to a weapon. In addition, a single primary natural attack (including the newly gained slam attack,) can be used as a ranged weapon or a standard melee weapon. The ranged attack uses Dexterity instead of Strength to determine to hit, has a range equal to 30’ longer than the attack’s normal reach, and has no range increments. Size Slam Damage Fine 1 Diminutive 1 Tiny 1d2 Small 1d3 Medium 1d4 Large 1d6 Huge 1d8 Gargantuan 2d6 Colossal 2d8 Special Attacks: Leaked Essence(Su): One of the Incomplete’s natural weapons oozes some of the “outside the lines” leaking essence of the creature that isn’t contained in its normal physical form. This weapon is the same one that can be used as a ranged attack as described above. If it successfully damages a target, that target must make a Fortitude Save of a DC equal to 10 + ½ the creature’s HD + its Charisma modifier. If it fails, the creature becomes briefly corrupted by the essence. For 1d4 rounds, its type becomes that of the Incomplete creature, it takes some physical traits of the Incomplete, and it acts as if affected by the Charm Monster spell to the Incomplete. Creatures immune to mind-affecting abilities won’t be affected by charm, but even creatures normally immune to fortitude effects like undead and constructs will be have its type and appearance changed. Incomplete monsters with 17 or more HD have a more corrupting effect on others. Those who fail the save in this case will instead be dominated as per the Dominate Monster Spell. Special Qualities: Incomplete Form (Su): Because Incompletes don’t fully exist on the physical plane, it’s unusually difficult to successfully target them. All targeted attacks and spells have a 25% of missing, as the normally successful attack accidentally targeted an “empty” part of the creature’s body. This miss percentage is based on physical conditions, not concealment, and thus is not affected by true seeing and other detection abilities. However, anything that can attack incorporeal or ethereal targets without penalty, like force effects and ghost touch weaponry, will negate this miss chance. Area effects work as normal. Saves: Same as the Base Creature. Abilities: Incomplete Monsters have a slightly greater awareness of the world based on their ability to experience it from both within their own body and from outside it. Increase Wisdom and Charisma by 2 to reflect this ability. Skills: Incompletes have a further +4 to Spot and Listen checks. Otherwise they’re the same as base creature. Feats: Same as Base Creature. Climate/Terrain: Any Organization: As Base Creature Challenge Rating: As Base Creature +1 Treasure: Same as Base Creature. Alignment: Same as Base Creature. Advancement: Same as Base Creature.
