I really enjoyed all 5 seasons of it. But I liked how the day was saved as much by scientists geeking out in a lab and commanders sticking to their morals / virtues as it was by action heroes kicking butt. Classic Trek stuff.I like Strange New Worlds even more, but I don't think Discovery was a bad show at all. (With my youngest, I showed her an episode of SNW and an episode of Skeleton Crew and then asked her which one she wanted to watch more of. She chose SNW!)I first got into Star Trek when TNG was on S3 or S4. I went back and watched the earlier seasons at some point and yeah, they were hard to watch. I made the mistake of trying to start my kids off with TNG in chronological order. "Encounter at Farpoint" bored them out of their wee minds. I loved later TNG seasons and the movies. They were peak Trek for my adolescent self.I hated Voyager. It felt too much like a soap opera. I can't even remember if I ever watched the whole first season or not.Never bothered to watch Enterprise.I watched DS9 while TNG was still running, mainly because the TV network showed them back-to-back, I think. But I believe that I stopped watching DS9 after TNG finished because I just didn't like it as much. The whole being stuck on a space station thing wasn't as appealing to me as warping around the galaxy in the Enterprise.That being said, some recent discussions on these very forums have got me wanting to give DS9 another go. It looks like the only place to watch it here in NZ is on Netflix. My oldest daughter has a subscription, but she can't remember her login details. (I want to watch it on my iPad, not on the TV where she's already logged in <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f61b.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":P" title="Stick out tongue    :P"  data-smilie="7"data-shortname=":P" /> )</blockquote>
