Ok, so, we have a species from another dimension (we've seen a few of those in the past, like Species 8472 and those creepy aliens from "Schisms", the solanogen-based lifeforms) that hijack living bodies and seem to have psychic powers. Imprisoned in an pan-dimensional prison by an advanced civilization that apparently was destroyed and their descendants only have limited knowledge of them. And apparently the Gorn are fully aware of our "Hitchhikers" and have devoted race memory in their DNA that tells them to "kill on sight"! Also, that quantum entanglement on a molecular level is interesting as well, as I just recently learned about John Barrow's counterpoint to the Kardashev Scale, Microdimensional Strategy- at least a Type 3-Minus civilization (I've heard it proposed that the Q-Continuum are/were a Type Omega-Minus civilization- and we just had Trelane messing with Corby for rooting around on what could be the Q's ancestral home!). -And speaking of Corby, we find out about his immortality obsession. Can we call this foreshadowing? Retroshadowing? A lot of plot threads combining here, which is some seriously good plotting! At least I hope it is. The only downside? New Guy (Gamble)! We barely knew you! (Oh and N'Jal too, I guess). Also, it's probably nothing, but the title reminded me of something. "Through the Lens of Time"- "The Traveler had certain abilities, like the ability to act like "a lens which focuses thought", which allowed him to alter space, time, and warp fields with the power of his mind. He could phase out of time and dimension and move between planets and starships. These abilities were based on his ability to focus the energy of thoughts and in his advanced understanding of the nature of reality."
