For instance, our public broadcaster, TVNZ, has a free, ad-based streaming platform, and they are able to make deals with the big international studios to host big name shows here without us having to pay for the original streaming service subscription. Currently I'm watching Star Trek: Strange New Worlds that way, and we've been getting new episodes at the same time as everyone else. Meanwhile, TVNZ has also recently added the US Office spinoff The Paper, but whereas Peacock dumped the whole season onto its platform at once, TVNZ is drip-feeding it to us weekly.</blockquote>
