I felt that this was possibly the best episode of Atlantis yet, which is the way it should be since it is the season finale. I've come to realize that the wraith are the D&D equivalent of aberrations. They're humans with that crap bug DNA. Its possible that the reason they don't have much depth as a species is because their mindset is pretty foreign to any sane and rational humans. A good part of their thought process might have more in common with the bug they got their DNA from. Making them an unreasoning and cold enemy does add a bit of horror to them. I have no idea how Spepherd is going to get out of this one. My guess - either the nuke won't work, he'll jettison himself in a space suit before the ship makes its final run, or his ship will get captured by one of the wraith ships before he can blow the thing. Does anyone else find it disturbing that a ship from Earth can make through the void between galaxies in a few days simply by being powered by a ZPM? I haven't seen anything short of wormhole technology transport anybody to another galaxy in any major sci-fi show before this. I'm not sure its such a good thing as it strains believability to the breaking point. If this is in fact the case, Star Wars, Star Trek, and B5 ships have nothing on the ships from the Stargate universe despite the fact that all three other universes had starfaring capabilities for hundreds or thousands of years longer. Anyhoo, just some random thoughts.
