Ya know, didn't they do this in Stargate SG-1, also?

But they don't do it this good. And the connection with the regular Stargate show with the time traveling puddle jumper serves as a great link and presents the question how did it end up there?

I get the feeling that the questions about that time traveling puddle jumper are going to get answered. The second I heard the comment about one of the ships being different, I knew what it was right away.

Add to this the preview we've had since before this half of the season started with sending a message back to Earth, and something interesting may be in the works...

This is very interesting. I like how they're tying the time machine into both shows, and so far handling the time travel aspect very well. No horrid abuses of plot yet... though if the season ending/season 2 opener is solved by time travel, I'll be upset.

I love the banter between the characters. Feels like the writers are really getting the characters' personalities down, though some of the story pacing is still a bit off. Overall, a good episode, and it puts us back on track for the search for ZPMs.

I liked the bantering of who did more before they died in the previous timeline.

Was one of the better Atlantis Episodes.

That's exactly what made this episode for me. It wasn't a bad episode without it by any means but that interplay just had me cracking up in a good way.

Agreed. I loved the fact that they bypassed the fact that they did die, just to "one-up" the other on what they did before they each croaked.

Although, I was half-expecting Weir to shut them both down with something like "Yeah, well, I lived 10,000 years just to tell you about 5 ZPMs and allowed for the fail-safe to be implemented. You two were saying?"
Oh well, still one of my favorite episodes as well.

Heh I loved this episode when I saw it a few weeks back, it sets up the next few episodes nicely. Sure wish the series finale would hurry up and show in the States, so us Brits who've seen it already can actually talk about it. I've got the whole series on my HDD at the moment, watch an episode or two most days. Great show.

One thing that caught me off guard was the whole 10,000 years thing. Correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that Antartica was a big solid piece of ice 10,000 years ago. So did they just transport into the ice cave that Carter and O'Niell were stuck in? Because the Giza gate didn't get brought to Earth until the Goa'uld came 7,000(?) years ago. I always thought the last of the Ancients died of from earth way more than 10,000 years. I thought Anya was several Million years old. So if they were here as recent as 10,000 years then they could have meet the Goa'uld and fought them.
