Message: <blockquote data-quote="wolff96" data-source="post: 5393884" data-attributes="member: 342">If she didn't kill the marine, Eli sure was quick to leave an injured man behind.  No one even TRIED to send medical aid to the guy, so I just assumed he was dead.  (Eli doesn't have any medical training, but any idiot can check a pulse.)  I guess we'll see if they mention him next season.Chloe being pointless actually made me give SGU a lot of credit.  The whole point of SGU was that this WASN'T a chosen team.  They aren't the best-of-the-best like Atlantis or SG-1.  They're just a collection of scientists, civilians, and military personnel caught up in much larger events.  Having at least one 'pointless' character around made it feel more real (at least to me) -- she's an outsider perspective and could have been put to a lot of different uses around the ship like helping in hydroponics, organization (she was a senator's aide, after all), or turned into TJ's assistant, or...  you get the point.Turning her into a 'magical girl' really annoys me because they're losing the whole point of their premise..  Seeing her rise up ON HER OWN and *learn* to be an important, contributing part of the crew -- even if she's nothing more than a glorified mascot -- would be a lot more in keeping with the original idea than turning her into a half-human, walking plot device.  Not to mention the whole "It's stronger than me, I give up" attitude is just a wonderful thing for female empowerment everywhere...If you didn't have XP disabled, I would give you as much as I could, forever, for this.   My favorite game and a PERFECT reference!  <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)"  data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" /></blockquote>
