Interest in Alien ships I've been following SGU since the start and I have to admit that I'm impressed with the consistency in good episodes in the second half of the season. I prefer how they have been using CGI for aliens intead of the old way where all aliens looked like humans. The blue guys' interest in Destiny, I believe, is that they want to have control over the gate system. We saw in SG1 and Atlantis how crucial the gate system can be for many civilisations, in military power and also in trade etc. It appears that in these galaxies there are no DHD's and as said in episode 19 a keno control device is needed to activate the gate. Assuming that these aliens are capable of higher tech than the ancients who built destiny, then there are few reasons why they would take an interest in destiny, and control of the gate system seems to me to be the most prominent idea. The gates themselves however are actually alot more high tech than the large ships we see on the blue guys' side, so perhaps they are in fact not as advanced as the ancients were. As for the Lucien alliance, their introduction to the series is not necessary, it would allow for more dialogue and plot building due to ease in communications etc. between the two sides, but my opinion was that when they appeared in SG1 they were not as big a threat or as exciting of antagonists as the goa'uld had been, could this not be the same situation once more though this time with the BAs? Chloe is the worst character on the ship. Eli, having been introduced first, for me was and continues to be my favourite interest onboard destiny, purely because I feel that I can relate to him more than any other characters, and probably alot of the fanbase can as he seems like the sort of character who would enjoy SciFi. Chloe's initial attempts to lead Eli on were aggrovating, and her current situation as concubine to Scott makes the audience pity her more. My summation of what I expect from the rest of the season is as follows: They will arrive in the new galaxy, gain access to more areas of the ship, discover new "bad guys" and we will be left with a cliff hanger, possibly with an assault on the ship or possibly careering towards a black hole at some point, in true Brad Wright/Cooper style.
