But if the Blue Aliens did infiltrate Destiny, as I suspect they did, and did discover something about her and from where she originated, they had to have concluded how old the ship was.For instance if I discovered a transmission from an Earth source and that source was light years from home, and that transmission was also discovered to be several thousand years old, I could reasonably conclude that humans are either extinct, or have regressed, or are now (at the time of the discovery) far more advanced than when the transmission was first made. This being science fiction there is often the tendency to conclude that the last possibility is the most likely, though it may not be so at all.But it has also occurred to me that the Blue Aliens may want the Gate System, or technology related to it. Once established it is not only a fantastic form of travel and exploration, it is a fantastic form of communication. But I think that there is something more to it, like something perhaps related to Ascension. There is no evidence in that regard, but it's just a hunch I have from looking at the Blue Aliens. Watching how they act. That they would be interested in such an idea, even though I'm not sure how they could have come across such an idea strictly from an encounter with Destiny. (Though the name of the ship conjures up certain implications in this regard.)But I think Rush also has an interest in Ascension as part of his "Destiny motivations."</blockquote>
