Things I liked: The direction of the episode put the camera in people's faces or behind pipes ALL THE TIME, which really helped the claustrophobic feel of the Seed Ship. The alien looked ALIEN, not like a rubber-forehead actor. SG varies a lot on quality of their aliens over the years and I'm glad that these looked strange. There was no magical communication. They didn't figure out how to talk to the alien, they didn't figure out what they wanted, and they don't know why one wandered in and collapsed in the first place. We saw the conflict in Rush. He didn't volunteer information about going home, but he helped. He was willing to risk himself to ensure that others could go home (or so he claimed, but I believe him this time). Things I didn't like: Telford being off the show (for at least a few episodes). He had great potential to moderate Col. Young, who's been really off the rails lately. Especially since they'd gone to the trouble of establishing Telford's working relationship with Wray, the military, the Lucian Alliance, and (thanks to an overheard dispute) even established him as a potential bridge between Rush and Young... what was the point of all that great character development if we're going to toss him aside??? GAH. The Lucian Alliance Members are apparently down to three now. And still locked up and useless to the storyline, but costing us screen time on more interesting plots. There's GOT to be a better way to handle that. NO ONE figuring out what Rush was up to in the mean time. Has it just been forgotten that Young used Eli to spy on Rush? Why is this guy allowed to randomly wander off for apparently HOURS at a time, especially when Destiny has been acting oddly lately (due to his interference)? It's obvious Rush wasn't trusted -- by pretty much anyone -- so why let him just wander around?
