Message: <blockquote data-quote="Orius" data-source="post: 4981950" data-attributes="member: 8863">I think the Ancients were a bunch of show offs, at least before they all ascended, got boring, and did nothing.  Why build spaceships, when you can have big cities that can travel in hyperspace between galaxies?  Why have a ship that just has rechargable solar batteries when you can have the damn thing fly right into the sun and scoop up all that raw fusion power?  <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=";)" title="Wink    ;)"  data-smilie="2"data-shortname=";)" />  Yeah watch out Eli, she's the type that'll break your heart.  Either that or the producers are taking lessons from the TNT Book of Good Sci-Fi Writing.  I think I know at least part of what put a bug up Rush's ass.  Back in the first episode, right before the base gets attacked, he goes back to his room alone and starts moping over a picture of him and some woman.  I think he was married, and she either died or divorced him, and he hasn't gotten over it.  He seems to be kind of bipolar, and he's acting very obsessed over everything here with Destiny.  I think he has kind of a death wish, and that's why he pulled his name out.  Doesn't seem like a good combination.  I don't think he knew the ship would recharge, but Young's comments are the sort of thing that'll just fuel more rage.  Mabe Young meant it partially in jest, as a way of lightening things up, but Rush probably took it as an accusation.</blockquote>
