It helps if you put your own input in. ;)

I thought Stargate was a bit dry, this week. Nice to see
Carter getting engaged
, though. Also, did anyone catch Daniel's explanation of what he translated for the bad guys? I was interrupted right then.

Atlantis was much better. Still kinda predictable, but they had some great scenes in there. Still need to do a bit more character development, but I'm getting into the show a little more.

SuperTeal'c was da' man! As a supers-fan I loved the ep and its numerous supers references (The Spiderman love interest ending, the mysterious-guy-who-walks-the-streets-and-fights-crime, the logo, Petes claim that carter counted as a superhero, and many many more I dont recall) . Its was nice to have an ep pointing out just how great the main characters are in the scheme of things compared to regular humans. I also loved the irony that in the minds of bystanders, Apophis' logo was SuperTeal'c logo.

I didn't watch either this week since I'm watching the Olympics, so I only caught a few bits here and there.

Saw Tleac driving in a car with a woman.

Then I saw various bits of Atlantis, enough to figure out a planet was dying, innoculated itself with a 50 percent chance of dying, but the innoculant also seems to kill the wraith.

I have to agree with my GF on this one. They either need to kill stalker Pete (preferably during the ceremony) or reveal that he was working for the NID all along. Overall Stargate has been pretty weak this season, I hope they step it up a notch or two.

Atlantis on the other hand has been picking up steam, I thought this weeks ep was pretty good.

Grah, I think I'd seriously stop watching the show if Pete turned out to be NID.

I do agree with you though... this weeks eppy of SG-1 was very bland (except Carter and Pete and of course Daniel, who I love). Overall the season had been a bit lackluster. It really bothered me that there was no reveal on what Daniel translated, I figure we'll get that next week though. Big filler episode, obviously. I'm a little dissappointed there hasn't been any furthering of the Baal storyline. Again, I think next week will probably bring that.

On the other hand, I really enjoyed Atlantis this week, despite it being a fairly stale story, IMO. Another good example that Stargate is about the characters, not the stories. I'd like to see Ford get more air time, and Teyla desperately needs more characterization. Dr. Beckett was great, and I really hope that he gets more air time.

I really liked this episode of SG1.
Anything focusing on Teal'c is a winner! I loved seeing him going about a "normal life" and he had some great lines when dealing with the boyfriend... plus the "defending the neighborhood" scenes were excellent!

Atlantis is ok.
It's getting better with each episode. I have high hopes for it. My problem is that I don't think they're really playing up the terror of the bad guys. I guess the Go'ould seem more scarey still despite the fact that the Ancients can defeat the snake-heads but not the life-suckers.
