Boot Camp
Boot Camp details the process of becoming Mobile Infantry. It covers every step from recruitment through the first mission. It offers players a chance to see exactly what their characters go through, leading to a better grasp of their characters’ training and personal history: How characters become recruits; the training itself and the boot camp where training takes place; the postgraduate placement when they have escalated from recruit to private; and finally, their introductory mission. Whether you are a player or the Games Master, this book will tell you how the Mobile Infantry are created from lesser men and what rites of passage they must endure to gain that ultimate privilege – citizenship.
Tower of the Elephant
The Tower of the Elephant is the first in a new series of Conan adventure scenarios from Mongoose Publishing. Based directly on the original story by Robert E. Howard, The Tower of the Elephant allows the Player Characters to undertake the very adventures that made Conan the legend he is. In the case of an adventure like The Tower of the Elephant, this will mean that Conan himself did not undertake to scale the tower and steal the gem.
These scenarios give Player Characters the opportunity to test their mettle against the greatest of all adventurers – Conan of Cimmeria. Can they survive the trials otherwise set before him? Have they the courage, the stoutness of heart, clearness of mind and strength of sinew to walk the path trod by the mighty barbarian? The Tower of the Elephant will test not only their capacity for violence, stealth and greed, but for mercy, subtlety and intuition as well. Player Characters who rely solely on the might of their sword arms to resolve problems will likely learn a hard (and potentially fatal) lesson within the bejeweled walls of the Elephant Tower. Have they the mettle and skill to tread where Conan might have walked?
Hyboria's Finest
Nobles, scholars and soldiers are mainstays of the Conan stories as well as the focus of this rule-book. Nobles wield wealth and influence; scholars wield knowledge and alchemy; soldiers wield swords and bows. Each has their arena of expertise. Each are specialists, experts in their fields but uncomfortable and often ineffective outside of their specialty. The nobles tread the jewelled thrones of the Earth, hovering around the perfumed courts and palaces of the Hyborian Age like flies around a carcass. Scholars delve deep into books and tombs, seeking answers to riddles most men shudder to even conceive. Soldiers are the masters of the battlefield, mastering their weapons to a degree few can even hope to attain.
This book also reveals the secrets of the finest classes: Ability scores, skills and feat selections are discussed for each, plus new social abilities, additional regional features, sorcery style choices, combat style options, tactics, survivability, new scholarly texts (including the evil tomes of Sabatea of the Golden Peacock), new items and spells.
