D&D 5E Started Lost mines

My younger sister had a friend over, and she wanted to try D&D, so I helped her throw together a quick Character (Pipper "Pip", the Human Archfey Warlock.) And started running Lost mines for her, my sister, and my brother. We were not able to play for long, she had to leave, but she was great. Happily slipped into character, and intimidated her way out of both the Goblin encounter, and the Redbrand ruffians fight. +5 charisma, and never rolling under a 15 made it pretty easy on her.

I just thought I would use this as a chance to get some help on running LMoP, and to let you all know that I (hopefully) got a new player into the hobby. Seems like the next step will be dealing with the Redbrands, if they stick with their current goal into the next session.

How'd she get the +5 charisma at such an early level? Congrats on getting a new player into the fold! I have a soft spot for Warlocks, especially Archfey. Comes from being a Dresden Files fan, I suppose.

I won't be following this threat TOO closely as I'm currently playing in a LMoP party myself, a friend's group lost a player, so he recruited a couple of us to fill in. :)

Lost Mines (or LMoP) is a good starter adventure. My players enjoyed it.

With the redbrands having been intimidated, in traditional thug fashion they'll probably want to come back in greater numbers and strut how tough they are, to nurse their wounded pride. However, before that might be a good place to introduce some of the NPCs who would be against the redbrands and supportive of or grateful to the PCs for giving them what for. It would also make a good opportunity to set up targets for redbrand retaliation once the PCs prove too tough for them.

Ah, I meant +5 intimidation. +3 Charisma, +2 proficiency.
