I'm also in Australia. Here's my tale of "woe": I recently (last week) moved out of the Sydney CBD area, and back to the Blue Mountains (where I grew up). Knowing that there aren't any game shops up here, I ordered from Amazon, and was pleased when my Starter Set was shipped in the early morning of the 15th (which would have still been the 14th in the US, I think). Then I'm out yesterday with the family, walking around Katoomba. We turn up this little side arcade and BOOM, there's the Starter Set, staring at me from a shop window. I was a little stunned, and I stood outside for while a long time, trying to think of someone I could offload a second set onto, so I could buy one right then and there. Alas, there was no-one, and I could think of no other excuse. My partner went into the shop and asked a few questions - apparently it had only been open for two months, and they'd received the sets that morning. I still may have folded and bought it had I been alone, but cooler heads prevailed and I walked away empty-handed. It's okay - there's really no reason I need it right this moment. I don't yet have a group established to run it for (though I'm working on it). And it's really cool to know that there's a new game shop just down the road. It's just that I got caught up in a bit of that old "Christmas morning" excitement, and would have really liked to take it home. Ah well, only have to hold out for two weeks *sits on hands*.
