IIf all you want is an illustration to give the players a general sense of what the town looks like, I think something like this works much better:

Perhaps my eyes are deceiving me, but that looks very much like the Keep on the Borderlands

For those who didn't catch it, in the Starter Set Unboxing video (time code: 29:30) Greg Bilsland mentions they originally didn't want a town map in the Starter Set, but the playtesters of the adventure deemed it necessary.

I found an un-labled copy on the artists site and gave that to my players, they liked it a lot and were more willing to split up the party and pursue their own interests because they could keep track of where they were easily.
