Since it looks like the Shades may be taking over Sembia, that would place the Dales and Cormanthyr smack dab in the middle of some pretty dark neighbors.Although I've been a fan from the beginning, I have always avoided the Dales. Maybe it was the presence of Elminster, maybe it was the emphasis on elves and drow in the region, maybe it was something else I haven't been able to figure out - but the Dales have always left me cold. I just think it's the most logical place to use as a default setting.If I had to pick another location on the basis of logic, I would choose the the North. The future of the Silvermarches is currently being previewed in The Orc King. Since Salvatore is so popular, and WOTC is likely hoping to draw more gamers from the Drizz't enthusiasts, this would be a good choice as well.</blockquote>
