For example, the Alertness feat from a Familiar or a special ability that only occurs when a Druid is in Wildshape. If the Familiar is not nearby (or dead) or the Druid is not in Wildshape, he no longer qualifies. Ditto for non-innate abilities acquired from magic items or spells.</blockquote>
