Stat the A-Team

JPL

Adventurer
Y'know what would be a great one-shot? THE A-TEAM.

Let's assume 10th - 12th level.

Hannibal.

Face.

Murdock.

B.A.

[No Frankie, Amy, etc.]

And if extra players show up...who else? Magnum? MacGyver? Hulk Hogan?

I'd be afraid of being forcefully corrected by Mr. T if I stated B.A. as anything less than epic. "I pity da fool!" who tries. :p

Ah, the good old "stat a famous fictional character"-thread. I like them, even if they are pointless. ;)

I just give some levels and classes, don't have time for details :)

Hannibal: Smart8/Tough2/Charismatic2
- He is the man with the plan, so obviously he must be smart.
- He is also quite tough and is good at brawling, so either Strong or Tough. I tend to go for Tough.
- I don't know where to put his Disguise skill, so he might need a few levels in Charismatic Hero. (But maybe he just took some cross class ranks, or a good starting profession.)

Face: Charismatic8/Fast4
- He, his name is Face. He must be a Smart Hero.
- He isn't exactly strong or tough, but he is a good shot, and is rarely hit, so he must be a fast hero

Mr.T: Strong8/Tough4
- He is big and strong. What else should he be than a Strong Hero?
- Obviously, he is also tough.

Mad Murdock: Dedicated6/Fast6
- He is so mad that he can make up things and believes in him, so he must have some kind of Faith ability.
- He is also the team's pilot, so he must have some fast levels.

For extra players, I can only offer McGuyver
McGuyver: Smart8/Charismatic2/Fast2.
- He is incredibly smart and can make anything out of anything.
- He has some people skills.
- He is a good pick pocket and stealthy, but not perfect.

Hulk Hogan
Tough 5 / Strong 4 / Charismatic 3
-He's is a natura leader (so he has high charisma).
-He needs the ability surge class ability so he could "Hulks up"
-He needs a feat that does something like second wind which he tends to use in conjunction with his Ability Surge.

One thing I liked about d20 Modern was that the base classes seemed to all be inspired by the A-Team.

:D
The A-Team seems very close to a regular RPG adventuring party.
Each team-member has a primary role in the team, and without him, the team would be very weak. And alone, each team member won't last long...
Mr.T's aversion against flying is also a good example for a character flaw that a player would take to get some mechanical advantages (maybe in exchange for a higher strength?). The way the A-Team handles it is pretty close to how any adventuring party would do it.

:)

Even the hit point mechanis (but not the massive damage threshold mechanics) seem to apply i the A-Team - or did you ever see someone suffering deadly hits from all the bullets in the air? :)

Ya know everyone goes with Mr T being Strong/Tough but they forget the Smart part. BA is a highly skilled mechanic (which I suppose could be Background occupation and feat choices (eg Jury Rig))

- remember the pumpkin canon?:)

We played a brief d20 Future campaign where the GM got me to stat up the characters for everyone else.

I essentially made the A-Team, and then waited to see if anyone noticed :)
