Statting A Villain

Angel Tarragon

Okay I'm working up one of my villains cohorts and I am a little confused by something. If a Half-Celestial Paladin of 20th level gets turned into a vampire and trades in ten of her Paladin levels for Blackguard, what happens to her half-celestial abilities?

You just go through the template description for Vampire and change what it tells you to change.

Going off of memory, I think you will retain your half-celestial abilities, even though you are now a nasty evil vampiric blackguard.

EDIT:

Wo! Hold on there. You've got a problem.

“Vampire” is an acquired template that can be added to any humanoid or monstrous humanoid creature (referred to hereafter as the base creature).

Half-Celestials can't become Vampires, RAW.

If you wanted to do it, anyway, then you'd need to follow Merak's advice, above. Specifically:

He'd lose the Con bonus from being a Half-Celestial, since he loses his Con score.
All of his Hit Dice would become d12s.
He'd have a net +7 improvement to Natural Armor bonus to AC (+1 HC, +6 Vamp)
Retain his Smite Evil ability
Retain his Daylight ability (Hah hah hah ...)
DR changes to 10 / Silver and Magic (Vamp overwrites HC)

He'll probably want to stay away from a lot of his HC spell-like abilities, as well. Holy Word? Summoning Celestials?

Yeah, might be a bad idea to use those ... :)

It's painful (deafened for 1d4 rounds if you beat your SR), but it might be worth it if you're fighting nongood enemies with fewer HD than you. :p

How is a half celestial immune to vampirism?

If the Half celestial/palidon is bitten to 0 con he will become a vamp correct? Never have played that high level of a celestial before so what would make him immune?

I'm laughing thinking of how that would look.

"You fools dare to come against me? CAELESTIUM! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!"

He'll die from the Constitution damage, he just won't rise as a vampire.
