Stop buying all the stirges, please; a call for sanity.

Since War of the Dragon Queen came out last month, eBay's had a non-stop run on stirges. They're now up to an average price of six bucks a pop. And that's not for a rare. We're talking an uncommon. A tiny uncommon that weighs like, what? A half-ounce? If that?

I keep waiting for all of the guys trying to build swarms to get their fill so prices can drop again, but there's no end in sight. People seem to be willing to pay any price for these little mosquito things. How many is enough?

I'm kinda curious to know if they're really that great for the skirmish game, because if they're not then that indicates it's RPG'ers out there driving the majority of the stirge market (which helps tell WotC where their focus should be with the mini market on the whole).

From what I've heard, they are fun to run in Skirmish, but nowhere near tier-1 or the competitive scene. RPGers have always been the ones driving the prices up on RPG-worthy minis.

Definately should have been a common, as it is the amount of Dragon Queen I'm likely to buy I'll be luckly to get one. Being uncommon is a real pain since in Huge sets you lose one uncommon to cover the Huge slot.

A few companies make miniatures covering stirges. They take very little talent or time to paint. As this is mostly an RPG-related demand I guess I don't get it.

Preach it brother. People lay off so I can get me some Stirges.
Bought 2 cases and got one Stirge. I would like about 10 but not at these prices.
Almost like chase rares.
