Storm O' Blades

My deepest apologies if this question has been covered in the past.

Storm of Blades says you make an attack, then repeat the attack a number of times equal to your Con mod. So if I have a Con mod of +6, I make 1 attack, and then a further 6 attacks, or a total of 7 attacks? Or a total of Con mod attacks for 6 attacks?

Also, is each hit dependent on the last? The fluff text and things i've read on forums imply that you have to hit with each attack to do the next one, ala blade cascade. However I can't see this in the rules, although it does imply that if you need to hit with the initial attack to do the extra attacks.

As I read it...
The additional attack is in the "Hit" section of the power, so you gain it only when you hit, and each additional attack is dependent on the previous one hitting. The barbarian in your example could make up to 6 TOTAL attacks (or five additional attacks), but the attacks stop as soon as he misses.
