Is there a main bad guy motivating the enemy escapades? You want Yuan-ti, sure but unless they know what the books do and have a use for them, they might as well be goblins, ya' know? What if a fey'ri sor/rog has got book two and learns about the statue in the village. Assuming your PCs would protect the village how would they handle it when the jerk starts burning the burnables and enticing gnoll slavers to raid. And of course remember, the moment the statue explodes is the moment this part of the adventure is over, so for adventure fodder's sake, be sure the PCs get there first. Does anyone in the party have any use for the truenames of demons? I assume you can summon a demon and completely dominate it with the truename. Would your PCs do that? The sword is an intelligent adamantine evil outsider bane and is cool but what about the rest of the party that can't wield it at the same time? What do they get? If the PCs get two of the books would a gang of Paladins eventually come after them if they don't immediately destroy the evil things? Funny, or would that wreck your story? How about a mysterious collector who is willing to pay a million gold for all three together? Would your PC's sell something like this to a complete stranger? Might the collector try to assassinate the PCs if they refuse?
