Strangest character quirks

My friend played a paladin that refused to kill anythng. Waded into battle with a sap and knocked out anybody who didn't convert.

One of my potential players for an online Savage Tide campaign is going to play what amounts to a female Jack Sparrow. Plus: Loves to drink but can't hold her liquor so is drunk a lot (she wants to take Drunken Master, but she's a Tiefling Hexblade. Go figure). From her description its going to be hilarious, if not headed for a quick bloody death.

I once role-played a characters ability to "smell magic". When it started off we found a pile of items. Some were magical, most were normal. So while the DM was running down the list. I role-played smelling each item, then setting the items into three piles. One was for magic items, one was for normal, and the last I couldn't tell. Every item put in the magic pile was magical. Every item in the normal pile was normal. While the two items in the can't tell pile, were actualy the two most powerful items. Needless to say, everyone was impressed. So the DM gave the character the ability to "smell magic" at will.

Best part about the character was that he was a fighter and had no other spellcasting abilities, hehehe.

I ran a changling rogue who was attempting to convince the world at large that there was a great, ancient, and evil cult called the Unholy Order of Dagon (Yeah, I stole the name), and that it was re-asserting its self. Furthermore, my character was presenting himself as a representative of that cult, who was seeking allies.

In reality, the cult was pure fiction. There was no Dagon, and all those mutilated bodies and demonic symbols were the work of one man determined to carry and perpetuate the big lie. Right down to forging ancient manuscripts and planting them in dungeons that he had just cleaned out.
