One of my 2 favorites My posts always start this way. Excuse me if you do not know the game in which I am referring, RunequestII, but this was the coolest and worst all rolled into one I was playing a character, Garth Dragonfriend, who was a scholar/philosophical sort of character. We met up with a creature, which is called a Broo, which in RQ is a creature of chaos, basically an evil baddy. but it was discovered that this Broo had undergone a change, called Illumination, which basically allows one to see the world as bigger than good and evil, so he was no longer Chaotic. There were many things that I could have learned from him about Illumination, Dragons, Magic, etc...but our big, badass fighter, Bardo, went ahead and killed him with noone trying to stop him but me. Well, needless to say, I (Garth) was infuriated, but I really couldn't do anything, because Bardo could kill me without a seconds worth of time....so I plotted my revenge... One night, about 2 days later ( 2 seeions later ) we were floating down a river on a raft. Well, I weaseled my way onto watch with another character, who was really weak saving against mind-influencing spells. I hit him with Befuddle, which basically is like a confusion spell, then moved over to Bardo ( made my sneak roll ) and went to slit his throat. In RQII, I had a 94 percent chance to do this. Keep in mind, noone else, knew about this plan, Everyone around the table was laughing so hard they were in tears, and I could see Bardos player. still one of my good friends and still gaming together 15 years later, just about to crap his pants. I had the most fun I ever had in that week, coming up with that plan, and springing it unknowingly on the whole group....
