There was a game of TAG on at the University of British Columbia (plastic darts) in the 90's but ended abruptly after an off duty cop nearly busted a cap in a player.
The player at the school had taken to wearing a balaclava and when he went after his target the cop was standing nearby. I can't imagine the NYPD would be any more understanding, despite the use of squirt guns rather then plastic darts.
