I actually drafted a 5e update of the 2e Inquisitor Paladin kit a while ago. Aside from that, a couple of subclasses I'd love to see are: Paladin: * Oath of Liberty - On its surface a callback to the 3e Holy Liberator, but I'd imagine it to be so much more than just that. Oath tenets centered around protecting individual freedoms and rights and resisting oppression and tyranny. Obviously attractive to Paladins of a Chaotic nature, but just as many who swear this Oath can in fact be Lawful, but constantly vigilant for any warning signs of tyranny, however small, seeking to undermine the legal institutions they hold dear. Features revolve around resisting mind-controlling effects, resisting effects that restrain movement or actions, and warlord-ish abilities (the last of those reflecting this Paladin's ability to turn a rabble of peasants or slaves into an army against their oppressors). Rogue: * Thug - 5e has been missing the burly, STR-based Rogue archetype since its release. There's been ways here and there to make a "STR-based Rogue" but none of them all that satisfactory. This subclass would allow Sneak Attacks with one-handed bludgeoning weapons (e.g. club, mace, light hammer, warhammer). Gets medium armor as a bonus proficiency (to make up for emphasizing STR over DEX). Abilities include being able to Sneak Attack an enemy with no one else around them, grappling and shoving as a bonus action, and maybe some sort of Intimidation-related ability.
