Submission guidelines

A question for some of the D20 companies out there...

I've been doing a lot of web site searching, since I've got several projects I'd like to pitch, and I'm looking to expand my portfolio of companies beyond White Wolf, Sword & Sorcery, and Monkey God. (Don't get me wrong, I like working with all of them, but the more the merrier, as it were.)

The problem is, I've noticed that a sizable number of companies don't include any form of submission guidelines on their site. There isn't even an "e-mail So-and-so with queries," let alone any sort of specific policy. Yes, I can e-mail the general contact address and ask what the policy is, but there have been times where I've done that and never gotten a response. And I'm certainly not going to go into detail on a pitch unless I'm sure the person receiving the e-mails is someone I should be talking to.

Is there a reason some of you haven't included any method of submission or querying on your sites? I'm just curious.

Ari-
DPG probably should get something more substantial on our web site. We do indeed have guidelines its just that the lazy webwizard (Me) hasn't uploaded them to the web site yet and provided links to them.

Send us an e-mail to submissions@darkportalgames.com or visit our contact page and use the web mail form to tell us where we can send the guidelines.

I am the submissions address for Natural 20 Press. For us, we haven't finished publishing our first product yet, so we're not precisely sure what our submissions policy will be, but if you've never been published before for us to see an example of your style, we'd prefer you to submit something to Asgard magazine. This serves a double-duty of helping the gaming community with whatever you submit being freely available, and it helps us gauge your skills better.

I'll check with Morrus and see if this information is on our site yet.

Ari,

Feel free to contact me about opportunities with Fantasy Flight Games. We are always looking for good writers to contribute to our Legends and Lairs and Dragonstar lines.

Besides, I haven't seen you since college and we have a lot of catching up to do. ;)

Greetings!

Sure would be interested in hearing what you have in mind. Shoot us an email at teknokon@msn.com. We can also email you submissions guidelines, as well.

Cheers!
