Mistwell, I am sorry that there are people in the world who can't at least offer up an apology. I for one am sorry that this conversation has gone on so long. And for you to be criticized for posting this when it is a question about interpreting game mechanics questions - I am also sorry for that. Now seriously, folks. The guy (or gal - sorry, it is hard to tell on the forums, you know?)asked a simple question and had a simple request. Please help him interpret a proper starting level. And don't discuss the module specifically. Is that a hard request/question? This conversation started out really well with people giving generic input. Go back and read the posts. Some of them are really insightful and probably really helpful to Mistwell, too! But look at what it has degraded to now. Petty squabbling. I think the people of this sight are better than that. I can understand petty squabbling over another thread where a rule has come into question and interpretation is needed. But this thread isn't about questioning a rule, it is about interpreting game mechanics. It is about our opinions on how to best interpret the DMG's guidelines. I think that is legit to be here in this forum; and I think the posters on this board should be able to state their opinion without having to watch out for the dagger in their back! [I for one freely admit to saying one spiteful thing to one poster, but that was in an attempt to honor Mistwell's original request of non-specific discussion!] So please, can we stop the backbitting and help the guy? Mistwell, I think you had a valid reason to post here and I hope you got the help you wanted. Maybe your DM should have posted the question - but then again for all I know your DM may not even belong to this site and your DM might have asked you to post it and see what the forum said. Who knows. I just hope that you got what you needed. Night all! Karinsdad: [Sblock]Dude, I don't know why you took this all personally. Chill out. I never once said you were wrong. In fact, if you go back and read my response to you I state my opinion, state that it is my opinion, and then welcome others to have their own opinion. I did ask you to stop posting about specifics of the thread, but I admit that. Now please, get off my back alright?[/Sblock]
