Hullo all. I need some input for an upcoming temple setting in my campaign. Dungeon design is definitely NOT my forte, so I usually rely on published material for the basic setting. Here's the skinny: At the start of the campaign, the players explored an ancient temple site; soon they will be returning to the temple to explore the lower levels. Clues scattered throughout the campaign have steadily pointed them back to the temple, and they are beginning to realize the gravity of the situation. The temple was built by an elven kingdom lost to the ages. It housed a power artifact that the players now desperately need to find. The upper level (which the players have already explored) was designated as the living quarters. The lower level housed the artifact in question. During the final days of the temple, enemies of the elves discovered its location and attacked. The first level was compromised, so in an act of desperation the elves lured their enemies into the lower level, and then set off a cataclysm that killed all of the inhabitants and destroyed much of the temple as it sunk beneath the earth. As a result of this, the lower level will be filled with the spirits of the elves and their enemies, and the party will have to negotiate with those elves who still retain their former personality in order to acquire the artifact. This is what I need: 1) A temple dungeon for characters level 8-9 2) Combat will mainly involve undead, as the elves and their attackers have been locked in a perpetual struggle since the cataclysm. Most elven spirits will have long ago lost their sanity, but a few have clung to their former selves and will provide an opportunity to role-play. 3) A heavily trapped/warded chamber at the heart of the temple. This will obviously house the artifact. Some guardians would be nice, maybe golems. 4) The magics holding the temple together are failing, so any powerful spells (read: fireball) could cause a collapse. I hate using dungeon generators as they seem too random. I'd rather modify an existing dungeon to suit my tastes. Any suggestions? Munin
