There are solid illusionists builds, specifically gnomes make amazing illusionists and they are very great at control. They seem...ok as controllers, although I've only seen 1 in action so YMMV3) Invokers - I'd look at Preserving invoker, they seem to have more status affecting powers4) Psion - I haven't seen them much either, but I hear the telepath build is far superior to the other one. They seem very useful as well.5) Seeker - I've only heard about these also and they are looked at as pretty weak, but if you can find ways to boost your RBA then they're not so bad.
