Mittendien

On the northern front, there is an uneasy peace. As long as the giants in Falinus keep their word about returning all humans to Mittendien unharmed, the Kaiser has ordered no agression into former Dwarven lands. There are still large garrisons of troops in Marzen and Schwartzburg, and it is rumored that small sqauds of elite troops have been moved there from the designated palace guard in Dumeldein.

The army is also stockpiling all the alchemist's fire that can be acquired - its availability is low, and skilled alchemists are making a lucrative profit. Perhaps too lucrative - a shoddily constructed lab in the poorer sections of the capital explodes, consuming several buildings in the resulting fire. Several are killed and dozens are injured, and tensions among the poor run high for weeks among accusations that the fire control squads would have responded much faster in richer parts of the city.

A primary instigator seems to have emerged among the lower classes. Fritz Liebenwulf, a charismatic and outspoken worker, is often found reminding crowds of the imbalances between the rich and the poor. However, Fritz has not broken any laws, and none of his gatherings have turned violent, so the authorities find themselves unable to take any action against him.

Thoradur

Summer never comes to eastern Falinus. While snow does melt, the region is locked in a forever winter of cold winds blowing from the Alberann Mountains and freezing nights.

The frost giants solidify their hold on eastern Falinus, but are unable to conquer the city of Lorindar. Supplies are continually smuglged in even with the white dragon patrols. The frost giants are able to push the buffer zone further west to include all of the Burwood. The forest is now over run with small bands of giants and a dangerous place. The steading of Timdar was utterly destroyed and the dwarves that survived, enslaved.

The frost giants keep their word and escort all willing humans out of the conquered region to Mittendien. None are harmed.

Within the occupied region, the frost giants battle each other through the summer. It is unknown what exactly is happening, but the word is that three powerful Jarls fight each other for the title of king of this new land. The idea of a strong frost giant king makes the dwarves tremble.

While small forces of hill dwarves and mountain dwarves sent by the king fight the giants, none do any real damage except the Giant Slayers. But these lone dwarves, though successful, are too few to change the tide of the war.

Some mounain dwarves are calling for all hill-dwarves to leave their hills and enter Lower Thoradur permanently. They fear that the dwarves are spread too thin, and only by joining forces can they have a future and avoid anihalation.

In Ulruz, the new emperor spends the summer enforcing his new edicts, which include honoring treaty obligations to his war-time allies. He also finally initiates the rebuilding of decimated Legions and the constructions of new ones to replace dishonored or destroyed Legions.

Kinrisar – Summer +66AK

The kingdom is a dual entity at this time. If you ask the merchants and commoners things are going very well. There is widespread respect for King Hadri. People are beginning to say that Felicitas is rewarding the kingdom for living up to its debt of honor so quickly and well. Several of the noble houses echo these feelings.
A number of noble houses have a starkly contrasting view. They have experienced an erosion of their power base and fortunes. Merchant guilds and other houses that neighbor these waning houses seem to be acquiring this lost influence. A substantial power bloc is arising in the court of disaffected houses. The court has become a very tense event. The royal family and other prominent houses are hosting few social events this season.
Pirate activity is picking up again in the western ocean and the Elf Sea. The pirate bases in the Sharktooth Archipelago seem to be filling in the vacuum left by the clearing of the nearer bases by the navy. Navy patrols increase in these seas in response to this activity.

Lorlynia

The elves of Lorlynia come out of spring hopeful that after the long war with Narok that the forest can once again enjoy peace.

Trade with other nations resumes as the make shift warriors go back to their previous professions and the begining of summer sees the first ships return from far off ports, heavily laden with vital goods of commerce. The heroes of the war with no other profession, continue to keep the forest safe by hunting down the stragglers of Narok's army. Others move onto other lands, craving the strife they fought so hard to end.

The summer months pass uneventfully as the year slowly passes and the Elven kingdom slowly rebuilds it's might.

Cryndon

Cryndon remains quiet for the summer months. The forces that were recruited and readied to assist Thoradur are released to standby, since there is nothing they can do to assist their brothers at the moment. They do send out rescue patrols to look for any survivors, but they dare not enter the newly-conquered region. Commerce continues in the Cryndon's main cities.
