Message: <blockquote data-quote="dave2008" data-source="post: 7931114" data-attributes="member: 83242">[USER=6987520]@dnd4vr[/USER]I just thought of another idea I have for a Greek themed campaign I'm working on:  The god of the dead does not approve.  In Greek Mythology Hades was said to get very upset if someone stole a sole from the Underworld.  This has a couple of ramifications:<ol> <li data-xf-list-type="ol">Clerics of Hades are not allowed to cast any necromancy spells.  (I would include reincarnate too, though it is transmutation).</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol">The Order of the Black Ram (a fanatic group of Hades worshipers) actively seeks out and eliminates undead and wizards/clerics who use necromancy.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol">Every time you use a spell that brings someone back from death there is a % chance that Hades will release the Furies to bring the dead back to Erberos. The % goes up each time it is cast on an individual.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ol">If the group is too strong for the Furies, Hades may send an avatar of Thanatos to retrieve his lost soul.</li> </ol>This has the effect of limiting the general use of such magic.  It is seriously taboo with real consequences.  It is not an out right ban, but a serious restriction.</blockquote>
