Message: <blockquote data-quote="Volaran" data-source="post: 3583345" data-attributes="member: 592">Well, Zod and the previous false Kryptonian who went by "Kara" could both fly, and I think she had a few beats explaining that he'd be able to one day.  I don't recall if he remembers flying as Kal-El when Jor-El had repromgrammed him.I don't have any problem with Kara teaching Clark how to fly, but I hope he serves as her mentor in other ways.  Something they'd briefly touched upon with the Justice League arc this past season was that Clark functions in a very reactive way.  He hadn't previously sought out causes to use his powers towards.If part of the arc with Supergirl involves him acting as a mentor in that respect, reigning in her powers and using them to do good, it may make Clark more proactive in that respect as well.In any case, I stand by my preference here.  If they're going to introduce Kara as a regular and have her fly, and Bizarro-Clark is flying, I don't think there is a need to restrain Clark from doing so as well, even if they don't have him in costume as Superman.I have, in the past, had the distinct feeling that the showrunners of Smallville introduce many plot arcs early in the season and don't know precisely where they are going to go.  Sometimes this results in plot points being ignored for periods, and then quickly resolved.  With the  growing influence of other DC elements and characters, I'm hoping this season is woven together a bit more tightly.And to be spiteful as well, I'm all for writing Lana out of the show or minimizing her role.</blockquote>
