Hmm. If I had to have the powers of an existing hero, with all it's attendent drawpacks or advantages... hmm. I then think about 'what would be cool to have' vs. 'what would give me the most advantage' :) I'm assuming for the sake of the exercise that you can't do something stupid, like 'I want to be The Beyonder' or something similar. Cool to have: A Green Lantern power ring, of course. Unless they've changed it all again in the recent series, there is no downside to it - no weakness to yellow, or wood, or whatever. They don't call it The Most Powerful Weapon In The Universe for nothing, but I doubt I'd have the willpower to make it do more than make flashy lights. I can't make myself not take that extra doughnut so how could I manifest enough will to open a stargate? But being able to manipulate matter and energy to my will? I'm so there. Kyle was duplicating virtually every superpower in the JLA while he had the Ring. He helped move the frickin' Moon. I'd so want one. Nightwing. Mr. 'I'm so athletic I can practically dodge bullets and jump off buildings onto speeding trains and not die'. Plus the smarts. Invinclible. Strength, Flight and a really, really, really high level of invulnerability and pain tolerance. 'The Best to Have': The Molecule Man: Total unconscious control over the physical state of the universe. Nothing you can't make or get rid of. If he had similar control over energy, he'd be one of the most powerful beings in creation. Not a bad job if you can get it. It really, really appeals to that altruistic side of me, as well. Regenerate limbs. Rebuild cities. Reverse desertification; make the Middle East and Africa bloom like gardens. Clean up the air, the seas. Feed the hungry. Destroy illness.
