So do you. So that criticism applies 100% to everything you've said. Therefore at best you're balancing the equation and neither of our positions or more or less valid for you saying this. Or am I wrong? Is he a personal friend? Is that the claim? It's not impossible. Hell I went to school with Orlando Bloom (in the year above, big pot smoker, dated the girl I liked lol) and a couple of other famous/semi-famous people, as I've mentioned before (did not stay friends with any of the ones who succeeded in Hollywood sadly lol). But is that the claim? You know, I am confident you have, in your lifetime, characterized a politician or superstar or actor or Paris Hilton as shallow or superficial at some point, so I don't feel like this is a compelling or plausible claim. Now if you feel bad about having done that and wouldn't do it again, okay cool, I buy that, you're a better person than me in that respect. But I don't buy that man in his 40s or older, who lived through the 1990s and was part of 1990s and 2000s culture, has never, ever suggested someone they don't know was an airhead (let alone a mere "shallow thinker"). I mean, if you want I, I can modify my statement to "all the interviews I've seen, and all the movies he's made give me the distinct impression that Snyder is a shallow thinker, but hey at least not an outright fascist like most people who made 300 would have to have been". Is that better? It's not a statement of fact that way.
