Zendikar is the ultimate sandbox, with ancient ruins and lots of no-man lands, without empires or kingdoms because it's a too hard world to allow large areas of crops. We have to remember the time travel and alternate timeline is canon in at least a M:tG world. This means an open door to allow D&D sourcebooks with some little retcons. I have read the wiki and the metaplot says the Eldrazi will can't play in this league this year. This means no more Eldrazi in Zendikar and now it has to be stories without these. (but asDM I would allow Lovecraftian cults in Zendikar). * What do you think about planewalkers, or a nerfed version, as a D&D class? Maybe with a game mechanic close to the incarnum magic, but the point of essence could be different mana colors, and the chakras (here the body slots for magic item) replaces with being attuned with special legendary magic items. They couldn't travel across planes, not at will, but at least know where it would be the nearest door (most of times to Sigil). * Dominaria is perfect for an event as crisis on infinete earths. Maybe WotC is just working in the lore about this. * I have got a theory. If a M:tG set has had got some CGI cinematic scene, it may be a future D&D world. Then the next ones would be Eldraine and Ikoria.
