Swallow Whole question

Alright this has been bugging me for a while. If say mr. t uses his swallow whole ability on someone who is under the effects of shapchange and then the person under the effects of shapchange turns into something uncomfortable, say a colssal sized caltrop (ouch) inside said creature. I think that the end result woud be dead critter. What does everyone else think?

I'd go for opposed fortitude saves - the one who does worst dies!

Seriously though, all the swallow whole creatures have the mysterious ability to survive having someone cut their way out of their stomachs (!) and the wound is miraculously closed by "muscular action".

I think I'd allow shapechange to act like a "get out of jail free" card, and inflict the appropriate amount of damage to puncture the way out of the creature.

You need to have the room to safety shapechange or polymorph into anything.

well even if playing "alien" is out of the question what effect would turning into say a fire elemental have on a critters digestive system? Yeowch, heartburn (sorry had to be said )
