[QUOTE="Artos, post: 1822781, member: 12934"] Hi everyone. I know that it sometimes seems like there's a new swashbuckler class on here every two or three days, but I just had to add another one. I'd really appreciate any assistance the wonderful denizens of Enworld can offer. This is my first attempt at any form of class design, whether base or prestige. Additionally, my formatting skills are horrendously sub-par, so please excuse the hideous nature of the post. Edited as per suggestions BAB: Full Fort: Poor Ref: Good Will: Poor Hit Die: d8 Class Skills: Balance, Bluff, Climb, Diplomacy, Escape Artist, Gather Information, Knowledge (nobility and royalty), perform, Procession (any), and Tumble. Skill Points: 4+Int Mod Class Features: Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Swashbuckler is proficient with all simple and martial weapons, with light armor and with bucklers. 1st Level Weapon Finesse: The Swashbuckler possesses the ability to use the Weapon Finesse feat with any applicable weapon. 2nd Level Charismatic Defense: The Swashbuckler gains the ability to apply his Charisma modifier (if positive) to AC so long as he is wearing no or light armor and carrying a shield no larger than a buckler. 4th Level Agile Strike: At 4th level, the Swashubuckler becomes proficient enough with his chosen weapons to rely upon his careful strikes instead of brute strength to harm his enemies. The Swashbuckler can now choose to apply his Dexterity modifer to melee weapon damage instead of his Strength modifier. This ability only works with weapons to which the Weapon Finesse feat can apply. Level 5 Bonus Feat: The Swashbuckler gains his choice of a bonus feat, however that feat must be taken from the following list: Acrobatic, Agile, Cleave, Combat Expertise, Combat Reflexes, Dodge, Great Cleave, Greater Two-Weapon Fighting, Greater Weapon Focus, Greater Weapon Specialization, Improved Critical, Improved Disarm, Improved Feint, Improved Initiative, Improved Trip, Improved Two-Weapon Fighting, Lightning Reflexes, Mobility, Persuasive, Power Attack, Quick Draw, Skill Focus (Class Skills only), Spring Attack, Two Weapon Defense, Two Weapon Fighting, Weapon Focus, Weapon Specialization. (Other feats to be added as appropriate from other sources). 7th Level Sneak Attack: At 7th level the Swashbuckler gains the Sneak Attack ability as the rogue class ability. 9th level Bonus Feat: See above. 12th Level Precision Blow: At 12th level the Swashbuckler gains an innate understanding of how to strike a particularly careful blow against armored opponents, taking advantage of their more clumsy movements. By fighting Defensively for a round, the Swashbuckler studies how his opponent's armor impeedes movement and defense, discerning how best to strike and take advantage of such weaknesses. For each round the Swashbuckler fights defensively, he gains the ability to ignore 2 points of his opponent's armor bonus, shield bonus, or natural armor bonus. By declaring a total defense action, he can ignore 3 points of armor, shield or natural armor bonus per round. This ability lasts a number of rounds equal to the Swashbuckler's Dexterity modifier*. Additionally, magical defenses cannot be bypassed in this manner (i.e. If the Swashbuckler is fighting someone with +2 leather armor and no shield, only the AC bonus from the leather itself can be bypassed, not the +2 enhancement bonus). 13th Level Sneak Attack: The Swashbuckler's sneak attack damage increases to +2d6. 14th Level Bonus Feat: See above. 16th Level Sudden End: At 16th level the Swashbuckler learns how to deliver a final blow with astounding speed and surety. When performing a coup de grace action, the coup de grace now takes only a standard action instead of a full-round action. Additionally, the attack can be made with subdual damage, with the fortitude save being made to remain concious. 17th Level Bonus Feat: See above. 19th Level Sneak Attack: The Swashbuckler's sneak attack damage increases to +3d6. 20th Level Bonus Feat: See above.
