Sticking with 3.0 for the forseeable future - we talked about it and my players refuse to buy new PHBs. (Yeah, yeah, I know I've said this a bunch of times before - but these 3.5 threads just keep popping up! :p)

Switched the first weekend. Normally we're not bandwagon-hoppers, but what we'd read sounded good, nothing sounded too aggravating (pokemount aside), so... why not? It was still early in the new campaign, so it's not like there was a lot of rewriting of history to be done. Granted that could be big trouble for existing well-established campaigns. For us, the timing was right.

So far, so good.

(And yes, Teflon Billy *is* dreamy, but then all of us Canadians are :D )

I am gonna make a D&D 3.25 game, I mean, I will use the new core rulebooks on what they should be, supplements, in the same line fo 2nd edition dm's and player's options (Combat & Tatics, Spells & Magic, Skills & Powers and High Level Campaigning).

This option is what I decided is the best, since we liked some things, others not, and hey, we can always print parts of the SRD and use it... not to say about the update booklet...

None, in-between, that is my choice, not on the poll though.

Our group is planning to steal a few things from 3.5 but keep the game mostly 3.0.

The things we are swiping are the three H spells (Heal, Harm, Haste), most of the added synergies, new Finesse (less work for him), Staves using the better attribute modifier and caster level of the user (so there is a reason to go staff), additional Smite Evils for the Paladin, and using the new Flurry of Blows instead of 3.0 flurry of misses.

GM is going his own way on swapping spells as you gain new ones. He will allow upgrades (such as Alter Self -> Polymorph, Summon Monster III -> Summon Monster V, etc) but not free-form substitution. He is also just giving Fighter Bonus feats to the ranger at 1,6, 11, and 16th level.

Still working out exactly what he wants to do.

There were two strong reasons not to go to 3.5. It would have changed several things about existing characters and there were too many silent changes -- especially to spells. Basically, it would be a case where everyone was starting over having to look up spells because something might have changed that we wouldn't notice otherwise.

None of the above.

Cherry pick what we like, ignore the rest.

We are sort of creating the "Good Bits" version of D&D ;)

I said immediately, but it's not quite rtue. Wizards and sorcerers can use the 3.0 version sof spells they've already learnt (other than the animal buffs) for the duration of the campaign. Other than that, we've changed.

I voted next campaign. 'cause my current Shade campaign (19th-level shade PCs out to conquer the Forgotten Realms) would require a lot of FR stuff for which there aren't yet any guidelines.

I'll probably convert the spells right away, though.
