No one else knows anything more about what is happening downstairs though Thorn is lurking as close as possible to the stairs and has heard no signs of distress or trouble from below though visibility is limited to a narrow strip near the bottom of the stairs. Downstairs Meliara knows Faxon unsuccessfully attempt to charm her then Faxon unlocked and went through the door. Meliara followed, just barely entering the room with altar where she resisted an in place zone of truth spell though she senses there may be more unpleasant magic afoot. Faxon is not near the door. He has cast another spell which Meliara was unable to identify, but it does not appear to have been directed at her.
