He wanders around the sitting room, running fingers over the furniture and fine fabrics as he passes. He goes to peer from the window for a moment, and then gathers his kit and heads for the bath. His eyes light up when he takes in the simple, elegant design of the tubs and their mechanism for controlling the water temperature. Without a moment's hesitation he strips down and fairly leaps into the steaming water, brusquely declining the manservant's offer of aid. "Lad, I was bathing m'self when your father's da was in swaddling, and his father, and likely his own father before that. I thank y' fer the offer, but I can manage."
