Enough men could take down anything. And while Denir slew enemies left and right, it was his powers from Gorum that truly made a difference in the battle. For what did Gorum value? Glory and Destruction. And Denir spread the blessings of Gorum among the paladins by his side, allowing them to fight longer and harder. And of course the paladins in the second rank could lay on hands to the men in front, Denir added to that by powerful bursts of healing energy that spread and healed all the men around him. Denir was the beacon, the standard then, the one whom other could rally to. If a great champion came forth Denir would answer and slay the beast. The paladins by his side forming shield walls to protect him. Together Denir and the other paladins in the front ranks held the line. It was not without cost, many were injured and fell back, others fell and did not get up. But these brave souls stood against this demonic army and did not fail, did not flinch, and did not break. They fought long and hard in the heart of the battle, knowing this was their role as the cavalry wheeled around the flanks and Denir's comrades used their own special powers to sow damage farther back of the lines.</p></blockquote><p></p>
