((The sneak attack was the surprise round. You all failed your secret spot checks to see the hidden warforged. First full round goes as follows)) Tiberian staggers off the steps, into the sewer water nearly knocking Koren over. He gathers just enough strength to call upon his god to grant him a second wind. Grimm, using his darkvision and making out the forms of two shifters down the sewer channel, calls out his threats with great force, the passion in his voice audible to all. The two shifters take a few tentative steps toward the party, clearly afraid to come too much closer. It is plain by their movements that this force they were paid to attack appears far mightier than they were lead to believe. (Move foward 10 feet-50 gap between them and Grimm/Lancel) Just then, a rush of sewage comes from a pipe set into the south wall about ten feet in front of Lancel. It momentarily increases the flow of water past your feet, but does nothing to unstabilize you. The blast itself, if you were to be caught in it, could be another matter all together. The warforged Assassin, out for blood takes a five foot step toward Tiberian and says "You have the provost's journal. Give the book to me, and you can live to see another day. Refuse, and we will make your deaths slow and painful." As punctuation to his statement, he jabs his rapier again at Tiberian, who, aware of the threat, neatly deflects the blow with the haft of his halberd. ((miss)) Lancel draws his kurki and waits with both blades drawn for the approach of the somewhat cowed shifter thugs. Koren, trying to beat back the assault of the Warforged Assassin with his mind every bit as handily as Tiberian beat his attacks back with his weapon, thrusts painful mental energy into the mind of the assassin, who, unused to such power, recoils in pain. ((Failed save))
