True, I guess.... Thanks for the advice and clarifications Nifft. As for IC and VR: I thought they worked together, and the DM said they do when I asked him at the character creation session. I didn't have enough time to check through the book and see if 'recovering maneuvers' was specifically different from readying maneuvers, though I attempted a brief check (guess I just missed it?). So I thought it worked, but if not, then VR's probably useless to me. I was thinking I'd be able to use it easily once each encounter for some decent healing, but apparently not. I had chosen Martial Study earlier pretty much just for the extra maneuver known (my progression has 8th and 9th level as the PsyWar 3 and 4 levels, so I'd already be able to keep Tumble maxed with my PW skill points). And I figured it was one that would help; while expanded and wielding my greatsword, I'd be doing pretty nasty damage for Burning Brand to double, IIRC (or maybe I'm thinking of another maneuver from Desert Wind). Power Attack is a fine choice for my PC I guess, I just wasn't sure I'd get much use out of it with my mediocre BAB, multiclassing, and +1 LA. I'm not sure how much good Practiced Manifester will do me with my 15 power points, since I'm likely to run out of power points in the first or second round of combat if I augmented Expansion to Huge and manifested one or two other support powers, like Force Screen and Biofeedback for defense (or double-augmented Offensive Prescience for more destructive potency). Still, I suppose it might be good with augmented Expansion twice per day (leaving me only 1 point in reserve to make use of psionic focus).... Hrm. Well, I guess if I don't go with Practiced Manifester, I'll swap in Improved Sunder or a feat to boost one of my saving throws. I'm expecting at least the occasional tough save against a death effect or powerful breath weapon, or domination. Fortunately the Healer/Warmage/Mystic Theurge player is already planning to make sure the party's Barbarian won't likely become mind-controlled, at least, but my own saves are all between +8 and +12, so I'll probably need some power or feat to help with that. Augmented Defensive Precognition may become my very best friend. :uhoh: :heh:
