Avatar nodded in approval, but his private thoughts were elsewhere. "Sweetheart, compared to some of those faculty fundraisers, this'll be a piece of cake." Although he wasn't terribly fond of black tie, he'd worn it often enough before to be comfortable in it, and it was nice to just be Henry for a change. Well, now his team had seen him without the mask, which he supposed would do its little bit for building trust within the group. At most of those fundraisers and society meetings, Henry was used to being one of the youngest and most handsome men in the room, if not the youngest and the most handsome. In this crowd, he was just another pretty face, older than most and not any better looking, either. He knew there'd be whisperings, and articles in tabloids the next day...what did Psyren see in him? Well, it wasn't the first time his date had turned heads, and, he supposed, it wouldn't be the last time, either. Despite his initial misgivings, Psyren was beginning to grow on him...not so much as a love interest, but as a Resolute who could be counted on in a crunch. He'd had his fill of "adventures" with pretty bits of fluff. They were fun as long as the encounters could be confined to soirees and trysts, but when things got dicey, fluff didn't cut it. Girls like Psyren could, and he respected that. It was easy for Henry to smile for the cameras. He just hoped her taste in celebrities matched his. And that if Dawson crashed the party, that he'd find four Resolutes a much different matter than two.
