Syfy's New Year's Twilight Zone marathon (Saturday, 12/31/11 - Monday, 1/2/12)

Who else here is looking forward to all (or more likely, at least part) of this annual tradition?

While I won't be able to watch a large chunk of the marathon, it's still cool to be able to record and watch certain favorite episodes (though I also always seem to find an episode or two that I'd never seen or that I hadn't seen in a long time). Also, if one still can't go to sleep after returning from a New Year's party, the marathon provides perhaps the only good thing to watch that late at night after the New Year's shows have long since ended.

I remember this starting while I was in college a long time ago. Could never get over how the episode with Agness Moorhead fighting the tiny astronauts was rated by fans as the second or third favorite episode.

Then again, the mediocre episodes outweight the amazing ones. I actually enjoyed Night Gallery a bit more. More scares, less sermonizing.

Besides the annual Twilight Zone New Year's marathon, I also remember Syfy also airing a Twilight Zone 4th of July marathon for several years. However, the channel hasn't had a Twilight Zone 4th of July marathon for the last year or two.

Any reason why that was stopped?
