Sure they are not enforceable in the same way explicit procedures are, but they can be useful for ongoing conversations about what we all expect from play. I know it has been useful to me when running/playing Blades in the Dark, Apocalypse World, etc. Sometimes you alter the list a bit for the specific group, but having them out in the open is immensely useful.I am used to this sort of thing though.
