For those who may be interested, I've uploaded a set of TableSmith tables to my Web site for generating 3E treasure. The tables follow the same process as the DMG, but there are a couple of added features. First, you can limit the value of the treasure generated to be equal to or within a user-defined range of the average value for a given encounter level. The other feature is the option to convert the single mass of coins that generated into a collection of copper, silver, and gold (and sometimes platinum).
I also made a small change to my Town Generator table (you can now vary the Buy/Sell factor of shops based on the business type, an individual business' need, etc.).
