Message: <blockquote data-quote="Warhoon" data-source="post: 2071515" data-attributes="member: 8809">Sorry for the necromancy, but I just wanted to share my newfound joy.I purchased a refurbished HP TC 1100 and used it in a game for the first time last night.  With modified PC Gen output sheets and a copy of the SRD loaded, I was in Hog Heaven.  I chose the HP over a Toshiba because the HP is a true tablet, rather than a convertible.  I.E., the tablet is fully detachable from the keyboard.Two downsides to the HP: the keyboard is cramped and too close to the screen for easy use, and the weight of the screen makes it top-heavy when in your lap (but then, I didn't purchase it to use with a keyboard!).  The other downside is that the HPs are a bit pricey (buying refurbished can take some of that sting away, however).Never took out the books, paper, or pencil.  Went 3 1/2 hours on battery power and still had a little less than an hour left.  Took notes, drew diagrams, managed hit points and psionic power points.When I used a power that caused the victims to become "dazed", clicking on the word "dazed" in the power description took me immediately to the definition of the "dazed" condition before the DM could get to it -- easily the tablet-use moment that most rocked last night.It was light, fast, unobtrusive (other than it's sheer coolness) and had a table "footprint" smaller than a PHB + character sheet.The true test will come this weekend, however, with the management of 2 clerics -- the class requiring the most detailed management in the game, IMHO.In the immortal words of Ferris Bueller: "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.  It is so *choice*...."</blockquote>
